Math Department

Welcome to the San Diego City College Math Department

The San Diego City College Math Department offers both a Developmental Math Program and a Transfer Math Program. Visit our program information and resources to explore a variety of resources offered by our department and college which foster student success.

Our Developmental Program is designed to give students a thorough understanding of basic skills. The basic skills acquired in these courses will prepare students for success in transfer level classes and certificate programs. Students will empower themselves with the mathematical confidence to incorporate these skills into their everyday lives, whether by improving their financial situation or by deepening their understand of current events.

Our Transfer Program is designed to prepare students for success at the transfer university or college. The courses we offer would typically be taken by students in their first or second year at the university.
